PRODUCT UPDATES
Fixes and improvements to Applystead, newest first, many of them from member feedback. Each is listed once it is live for every member.
Queue
Applications now receive an extra form-readiness check before approval. Repeating your saved LinkedIn profile address in the portfolio field no longer prevents your job list from being built; your saved profile address is kept.
Queue
We now check application forms for your Free job list in the background, rather than waiting for you to open the queue. More jobs can be ready for Apply manually when you visit, with the form and job description available together.
Resumes
Resume studio now looks like the rest of Applystead. When your window has room, your requests and the chat box sit in a panel beside your resume, and your resume fills the rest of the space from top to bottom and edge to edge, so you see more of it at once. On smaller windows, the chat stays under your resume.
Queue
Job discovery now has an extra safety control so a limited job source can be paused without stopping your applications. Your saved jobs and application history are unchanged.
Applications
When you search your applications, matches near the top of your list now appear as soon as they are found, and more matches follow as you scroll.
Resumes
The step that builds the resume for each application now handles more applications at once, so applications wait less for it.
Mailbox
When a thank-you-for-applying email also invites you to a next step, such as an assessment, it now appears in your Mailbox instead of being filed away with routine receipts.
Queue
Applications are now prepared for every member in turn, so your queue no longer waits behind members who already have many jobs ready.
We kept preparing new features that aren't switched on for members yet. Nothing changes in how you use Applystead today.
Queue
We expanded our regional and city searches to find more public openings where a job board limits its results. Each listing still needs its details checked; a full results page is not proof of complete job-market coverage.
Mailbox
Invitations to a screening or another next step now reach your Mailbox even when a hiring system sends them from a no-reply address, and your Mailbox keeps showing your mail when your address details can't be loaded for a moment.
Answers
When an employer's form asks for your email address, we now answer it with the address you apply from: your Applystead address, or your own domain if you set one up. It no longer shows up in your Answer library or holds up an application.
Queue
When you open a job in your queue, its resume now runs from the top of the job to the bottom of your screen, so more of it is readable without scrolling. Its Open, Download and Template buttons, and a PDF's page and zoom buttons, now sit beside Pass and Apply; on a phone they sit just above the resume.
Resumes
The resume sent with each application now puts what matters most for that job first: your bullets, skills, achievements and projects are ordered by how closely they match the job description, and when it can, your summary leads with your own words about the matching work. Everything on it comes from your own profile, and wording changes only to use the job's name for a skill you already list.
Mailbox
Recruiters and hiring teams who write to you from their own company email now reach your Mailbox, not only replies sent through an application system. If you apply from your own domain, mail still sent to your earlier Applystead address arrives in the same Mailbox, and each message shows which of your addresses it reached.
Resumes
In Resume studio, tailoring now shows your resume as large as your screen allows: the whole page when it fits, otherwise the full width to scroll through. Your requests go in a small bar under the resume, so you can ask for changes without losing sight of it.
Queue
Jobs in your queue now sit directly on top of one another, without a resume line under each card, so more of your queue fits on your screen. Open a job to see which resume it sends and preview it.
Privacy
Our privacy policy now describes the limited professional information Applystead keeps about recruiters and hiring managers at US employers. A new page lets anyone see what we hold about them and ask us to share, delete or stop using it.
Applications
Applications now has a search box. Type a company, a job title or a link, even just the company's own website, to find an application without scrolling. Clear, or Escape, shows every application again.
Queue
On a paid plan, Add a job in your queue takes a job posting's link. When it's a job we can apply to, it joins your queue and shows up once its application is ready; when it isn't, you see why right away.
Workspace
The screen you see while Applystead opens now shows the same Applystead logo as the rest of the site, in light and dark mode. And when you share applystead.com on X or elsewhere, the link preview now shows a fresh card with the homepage's headline: your next role, not your next full-time job.
Queue
When you edit a bullet on the resume of an application waiting for your OK, the edit box now holds only that bullet, and the updated resume keeps each role's and project's heading on its own line instead of joining it to the bullet before.
Answers
In your Answer library, a question such as "If hired, can you provide proof of eligibility?" now names the employer's question it follows and is listed right after it. When you answer it, your saved answer keeps that context.
Answers
When your Answer library asks something that looks like a question you already answered, it now shows the answer you saved and says it doesn't answer this exact question, so you can see your answers are kept and why this one is still asked.
Queue
When you review an application, your exact resume now fills its space: the note and the bullet-or-section picker under the page are gone. You can still select any line of your resume to edit that bullet or section, or use Read or edit text below it.
Opening a job from your queue now starts loading its job description and resume a moment sooner. Nothing changes in how the page looks or works.
New questions from employers' forms now reach your Answers list within minutes while your applications are being prepared, instead of waiting until preparation slows down. Answer them there and the applications waiting on them can move ahead.
Queue
When you open a job from your queue on a computer, the job description and your exact resume now fill the window, with Pass and Apply always in view. Your queue totals stay on the list, and the rating and Criteria sit in the top bar, so there is less to scroll past. Details we still need from you wait under the notifications bell.
Queue
With Auto apply on, jobs that match you less closely than your threshold are no longer sent automatically. They wait at the top of your queue as "Needs your OK", with a notification, so you can Apply or Pass. Auto still sends jobs that meet your threshold on its own.
When you set up from a resume or pasted text, your draft no longer comes back without roles. It uses the roles you asked for in your own words, or else your most recent job title, and says so, for you to review before approving. Roles you say you don't want are never suggested.
Resumes
The resume Applystead tailors for each application has a new layout: your name as you write it, a tidy contact line, one line per role with its dates on the right, skills grouped by category, and text that stays easy to read. It is still one column, so employers' application systems read it correctly.
Answers
When an employer asks you to describe your experience, Applystead now writes a short answer in your own voice from the facts you gave us, instead of pasting lines from your resume. It never adds anything your facts don't say; if it can't be sure, it uses your resume lines as before.
Links and titles such as "Learn more about how we handle your data" are no longer shown as questions you can't answer. They're asked once, as whether you acknowledge the applicant privacy notice of each employer you apply to. A field with its own choices still shows them, and nothing is answered for you until you answer.
Queue
When Applystead estimates a job's pay, the "Pay looks wrong?" link now follows the amount itself in your queue, in the open application and in Apply by hand, instead of sitting on a separate line below the job. Listings stay compact, and one tap still asks us to check the estimate.
Affiliate program
In the affiliate portal, affiliates and creators can now give a new link a memorable address, like applystead.com/r/your-name, and choose which of their links is their main one. Addresses need to be appropriate for work.
When an employer asks something you've already answered, such as whether you're a U.S. citizen, your saved answer is now used even when the employer spells or punctuates the question differently or puts an introduction before it. A question that asks something different is still asked.
A new setting in your search criteria, Prefer newer postings, prepares and lists newer job postings first. Your criteria and match threshold still decide which jobs are included. It's off unless you turn it on.
In your Answer library, a yes-or-no question is no longer grouped with a question that needs a written answer, and experience questions such as "Do you have 5+ years of experience with...?" come with Yes and No choices.
When we improve how Auto answers employers' questions, it now returns only to the jobs whose questions it can really answer, instead of retrying ones it would have to set aside again.
We laid the groundwork for new features we're preparing. None of them are switched on yet, so nothing changes in how you use Applystead today.
Membership
When you set up a Free account, the setup steps no longer mention the 90-day job guarantee, which comes with Premium. What you see while setting up now matches the plan you chose.
Applications now show the date and time each one was sent, in your own time zone. An application you've applied to no longer lists the reasons it was waiting in your queue.
Don't have a resume handy? Paste a summary of your work and projects, and the AI import builds your profile draft from it. If a suggested job title or place doesn't match what you asked for, it's left out with a note instead of stopping the import, so you can review your draft and carry on.
Affiliate program
When an affiliate or creator shares their Applystead link on X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack or Discord, the post now shows a preview card for the free AI resume tailor, so people can see what they'll get before they click.
Answers
When you haven't answered any waiting questions yet, Your answers now says your answers will appear there. If you've already saved answers while editing an application, it points you to them further down the page, so the page no longer suggests you haven't saved anything.
Queue
On phones, each choice in Apply by hand, including which resume to send, is now a full-height row that is easier to tap.
Profile
If you started on the free plan but never finished setting up, Applystead now takes you back to setup, which reads your resume and fills in your profile for you to review. A button in your workspace runs setup again from a new resume whenever you like.
Resumes
Choose My own PDF and Applystead sends that exact file, unchanged, with your applications. On the free plan, Apply by hand picks it for you and your job list opens first instead of Resume studio. In Resume studio, Use my own PDF instead switches in one step.
Questions employers ask as yes or no now come with Yes and No choices in your Answer library, instead of a box to type in. After you save some answers, the page says how many questions are still waiting.
If you live outside the US, your free job list now starts with jobs in your country. Jobs that name another country come last, or are left out when there are enough others.
Apply no longer stops working partway through a long review session. When an application can't be approved right away, its card now tells you why and what to do next instead of a general "Apply is unavailable".
Each prepared job in your queue now names the resume it will send, with a Preview. Choose "Use a different resume for this job" to send your own PDF or your Resume studio resume for that job alone; the rest of your queue keeps your usual choice.
An application's facts and consents now list only the saved answers that employer's form asks for, with a count of the others and a link to your Answer library. An answer to a question about one employer is kept for that employer's applications.
Estimated pay now shows only when it's based on enough jobs in the same country, and pay a job lists in euros or pounds shows as listed. Something off? Tap "Pay looks wrong?" next to an estimate to tell us.
Notes you send with the Feedback button and "Pay looks wrong?" reports now land in one list that the team marks off as it reviews them, so nothing you tell us is missed.
Answers
The Need your answers tile and the answers notice now open your Answer library, with the questions waiting for you at the top. Each one shows how many jobs it holds up, and you answer it right on the page instead of in a pop-up. Saving your profile no longer hides your waiting questions while their suggested answers update.
Answers
Every answer you've saved is listed in your Answer library, where you can edit or remove it. Applications still waiting to be approved pick up the change. On written answers, Improve with AI drafts a stronger version from your own profile, resume and other answers, and you choose whether to use it. Your oldest answers are no longer dropped when you save new ones.
Answers
When a question doesn't apply to you, such as whether you speak French, choose Skip, don't ask again. Jobs that need an answer leave your queue, and forms where it's optional go out with it left blank. Skipped questions are listed in your Answer library, and Ask me again brings one back.
We fixed a case where a workspace page could open before your account details were ready and then load them separately. Nothing changes in how you use Applystead.
Large updates to the job list are now more dependable, helping new openings reach your matches with fewer interruptions. Your existing application details stay available while the job list is refreshed.
Profile
If your profile gives your country as a short form such as USA, U.S. or UK, Applystead now recognizes it. You are no longer asked to add a country you already gave, and your profile shows the country's full name.
Assistant
The Assistant page now matches the rest of your workspace. Upcoming interviews and their briefings sit at the top, a quick filter shows the calls that still need filing, and setting up the Mac app takes three clear steps. On a phone, a call opens full screen. The page also appears all at once instead of filling in piece by piece.
Assistant
Standard and Premium members can now download the Assistant Mac app from the Assistant page, which walks you through installing and connecting it. Choose Record on my Mac next to an upcoming interview, then Start listening when the call begins. The transcript you save is filed under that interview. Nothing is recorded until you start it.
Applications
On phones, a long question or section name at the top of the application editor now wraps onto the next line instead of running under the close button.
Answers
When an employer's form asks a self-identification question, such as your gender, race, veteran or disability status, and offers a way to decline, we now choose that option for you. Current company comes from the employer of your role marked current, when there's exactly one employer. To share something else, change it on an application and tick "Use this answer on all my applications".

Tapping Need your answers on your queue now always opens your questions, even while your queue is refreshing, and keyboard focus stays where you left it.
Answers
Questions employers ask that your profile doesn't answer no longer pop up over your workspace. They wait in your notifications, grouped into a few questions with how many jobs each one holds up, and the Need your answers tile on your queue opens them there, so you can answer when it suits you.
Mailbox
While your own domain is being set up, your notifications show it, along with the address your applications use until it's ready. Once setup finishes, your applications use your new address. Nothing is needed from you in the meantime.
Answers
When you fill in or change an answer on an application, you can use it on all your applications, and every application that asks the same question gets it. Questions about one particular job stay with that application. Your Answer library lists the answers you saved this way, so you can change or remove them any time.

When the bell at the top of your workspace has a few questions to finish your applications, choosing to answer them now shows your questions at once, instead of after a moment of loading.
Interviews
With a membership, Interviews now opens with your processes, your next interview and the calls saved under them already on screen, without a loading step first.
Assistant
With a membership, before each interview call you have scheduled, Assistant prepares a briefing from the job description, your notes and your earlier conversations with that employer: where things stand, what they are looking for, likely topics, open threads to close and what to have ready. Each point shows where it came from. Open it from Upcoming interviews in Assistant or from the interview.
Feedback
If you cancel your membership, you still get our thank-you for your feedback, but it no longer asks whether we may credit you by name on What's new. If you agreed to be credited before you left, you can still change the name shown or remove it at any time.
Answers
When Applystead asks you a few questions to finish your applications, each question now lists the jobs that ask it, and you can open any of those job postings in a new tab before you answer. When you open an application from Applications, a link now takes you to its job posting.
Applications to employer career sites that only accept sign-ins through the employer's own staff login are now recognized as not eligible right away. More employer pages are now read correctly, and an optional password question on a form, such as a password for your portfolio, is left blank so your application can proceed.
Workspace
If the welcome note or the workspace tour is still waiting for you, it now appears at the same moment as your workspace instead of a moment after it, so the screen no longer flashes as it opens.
Queue
When you switch Auto apply off, or it is waiting for you to renew your consent, the applications it had already prepared now appear in your review list. There you can apply to or pass on each one, instead of them waiting out of sight.

Auto apply now answers the standard questions employers ask, such as whether you are willing to relocate, your pay expectations or whether you hold a security clearance, using the answers you already gave when you set up your account. Fewer applications stop to ask you for them.

A question with a very long list of choices, such as every county in a state, now shows a searchable list: start typing to find your answer instead of scrolling through them all.

Details many employers ask for, such as whether you are open to relocating or working on-site, your salary expectation and your citizenship, are now asked once when you set up your account. You can answer any you skipped from your notifications, which show exactly how many of your jobs are waiting on each one. Every answer is kept for all your future applications.
We improved how we measure sign-ups, memberships and visits through partner referral links, so we can spot problems sooner and keep improving Applystead. Nothing changes in how you use it.
We made the systems that collect and publish job listings faster and more dependable. New listings are processed with less load, the job list we match you against is refreshed more reliably, and we now recognize when a newly found listing is a copy of a job we already have. Nothing changes in how you use Applystead.
Queue
Many more listings now say whether the job is remote or on-site, and a remote listing limited to one country, such as "Remote - Canada" or "Remote (US only)", is now recorded with that country instead of as open anywhere.
Assistant
Opening the Assistant straight from a link or a bookmark now shows your calls sooner. It no longer waits for your queue and applications to load first, and it uses what the page has already loaded instead of asking for it again.
Workspace
Next time you open your workspace in a browser, a short note explains that Applystead changes quickly and shows you the Feedback button, which is on every page: use it to point at anything that looks wrong, add a note or ask for a feature. Then you can take a quick tour of each part of your workspace and how to set up your search and apply, or skip it. Replay the tour anytime from Help.
Resumes
The resume prepared for each application now includes up to three projects that match the job and trims the details the job needs least before running to a second page. Words that some PDFs print with joined letters, such as "workflows", are now read correctly, and a new technical resume starts in the Modern template.
Answers
When an employer's form needs an answer Auto apply cannot find in what you have told us, it now asks you in your notifications and says how many of your jobs each question is holding up. It groups similar questions so you answer as few as possible, and tries those jobs again once you save your answers.
Applications
An application's details now say in plain words why it is in your queue. For a posting we have not analyzed yet, they say there is no skill comparison instead of listing no matched or missing skills. Ready applications have a Review in queue button, requests for details have Answer questions, and details no longer stay stuck loading after an update.
Queue
Your queue now shows totals: ready to review (when you review each application yourself), needing your answers, applied this week and applied in total. Each job shows when it was posted, or when we found it if the listing has no date, and a filter narrows the loaded jobs to the last 12 hours, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
Applications
The Applied list is now ordered by when each application was sent, newest first, so a job you just applied to appears at the top even if it was added to your queue long ago.
Answers
When an answer can't be saved, Applystead now names the question and marks it on the form instead of saying "Review your answer values." Answers saved to questions we have since retired no longer block approving your profile. Questions with set options offer exactly those options, and each question says whether employers require it.
Profile
If a resume file can't be read, you now see why, such as a scan with no text, a password-protected or damaged file, an unsupported type or a file that is too large, and what to do next. Pasted text and length-limited profile fields show live counters, and a field over its limit is named when you save.
Profile
If a new profile draft can't start yet, Applystead now says why and offers the next step: finish approving your current draft, reload after a change made in another tab, or open or discard the draft already in progress. A draft is called ready only when it is.
Account
If your sign-in email is not confirmed yet, you can now change it from the confirmation banner or My profile, and the new address gets its own confirmation link. Confirmation emails can be resent up to five times an hour, a minute apart.
Membership
Completing the cancellation form now stops your renewal by itself and confirms the date your access ends. You no longer need a second step with our payment provider.
Feedback
After you send feedback, the window closes and a short note confirms it was saved, with its reference. Clicking outside the window also closes it.
Workspace
When something unsaved keeps you where you are, the message now names that step. A packet's Answers tab shows how many answers it holds, packet resume templates keep your name and role lines intact, and your mailbox notes that security codes employers send are used automatically.

Membership
While Applystead re-confirms a paid membership with our payment provider, the membership page now says your paid membership is active instead of showing an unverified payment status. Turning on automatic applying during a check asks you to try again in a moment instead of offering a new plan.
Queue
We now check far more employer career sites and job boards, in countries around the world, and check them more often, so more new openings can reach your queue. When we find a job listed on another site, we look for the same opening on the employer's own careers page, so you apply where the employer receives applications directly.
Assistant
With a membership, the Calls page is now the Assistant, and a short tour explains it the first time you open it. Your calls are listed by day, each filed under the interview or calendar event it belongs to, with suggestions for any call that is not filed yet. Your interviews and calendar show their calls too, and you can search, download or delete a transcript.
Applications
Jobs Auto apply passed over before putting an application together no longer fill your Applications page as No longer eligible. Applications now shows the applications that were actually made for you.
Queue
If your paid queue has no jobs in it, for example right after you change your search, Applystead now adds your closest jobs straight away and searches for you ahead of routine checks, instead of leaving the queue empty until the next full search finishes.
Search criteria
Locations in your search criteria are now an editable list: add or remove up to five places whenever you like, including if your search was set up for you. A new setting, "Only jobs confirmed in" your countries, keeps your queue to jobs whose own listed location is in the countries you search.

After you save new criteria or details, your queue now reads "Updating your applications with your latest details" while it refreshes, instead of saying there are no eligible jobs.

When your applications need a basic detail you have not given yet, such as your phone number, city, LinkedIn profile, work authorization or availability, your queue now asks for exactly those details in one short form, so you know what to add.

Jobs in your queue that we have not yet compared with your skills now say "Not analyzed yet" instead of "Not scored", and the Applications list no longer shows match scores.
Membership
Applystead regularly re-confirms paid memberships with our payment provider. While a recent confirmation is still current, a check in progress no longer delays saving your changes or sending applications you approved.
Search criteria
If your search was set up from your resume, removing job types in your criteria and saving could bring the old list back. Your job titles are now editable, and the list you save is the list your search uses.
Queue
When fewer jobs match every setting than your queue can hold, Applystead now fills it with your closest matches, up to 100, each labelled with how it differs. With automatic applying on, closest matches that miss one of your stated preferences wait for your approval instead of being sent.
Membership
Paid members' job searches could restart from the beginning while Applystead re-confirmed their payment. Searches now keep their place and your membership stays active throughout the check.
