The 29 updates to Applystead that went live for every member on .
Resume summaries no longer repeat your bullet points
Tailored resumes no longer copy one of your bullet points into the summary. When a new summary can be fully backed by your profile, it opens with your title and the job's skills your experience shows; otherwise your own summary is kept.
A full mailbox inside Applystead
Your Mailbox now works like a full email app: search, star, snooze, label and archive conversations, with confirmations, codes and other automated mail kept in Updates, out of your Inbox. On paid plans you can also write, reply, reply all and forward from your Applystead address or a domain you've connected, with attachments, signatures, drafts, undo send and scheduled sending.
Smoother applying by hand, and a clearer first step after upgrading
Applying by hand no longer gets stuck asking you to resubmit when the resume you picked can't be attached; you can upload a PDF right there instead. Opening an application you are filling in now takes you back to its form. If you upgrade and your queue is waiting on your applying email, the queue now says so and links straight to approving it.
Thanks to Haroon for their feedback.
Each job in your queue says why it's there
Every job in your queue, on cards and in prepared applications, now says why it was picked: the place it matches, or, for a closest match, which of your settings it doesn't fully meet.
Thanks to N.G. for their feedback.
Edit your job search and see it update as you type
The queue's search button is now called Jobs & locations. While you change your job titles or places, the summary of your search updates as you type and tells you when you have unsaved changes; Cancel puts everything back. Edit your search on your profile opens the same editor.
Thanks to John D. and N.G. for their feedback.
See what's ready and what's waiting in your queue
The top of your queue now shows how many applications are ready, how many jobs are waiting their turn, and every job you can apply to. Criteria shows the same figures, and your plan line says how many we get ready for you each day.
Your job map shows what you've applied to
The job map in Criteria now shows how many of the jobs matching your search you've already applied to and how many remain, and the remaining figure matches the jobs you can apply to in your queue.
Behind the scenes: a steadier queue and job map
We made your queue and the Criteria job map lighter to run, so your counts stay accurate and the app stays reliable as your search grows.
Questions instead of skipped jobs when Auto apply is off
When Auto apply is off or waiting for your OK, an application that needs information only you can give now asks you for it under Needs your information, instead of passing over the job. Once you answer, the application is prepared as usual.
Clearer salary pages that look right when you share them
Salary pages now name employers the way you know them, rank similar companies by what they pay for the same role, let you compare companies by typing their names, and help you search when a page can't be found. Every salary page now shows its own preview picture when you share it on X, LinkedIn, Slack or iMessage, and Salaries is linked from the guides, the free tools and the app's menu.
Behind the scenes: application consistency
Expanded behind-the-scenes checks for prepared applications, documents and Free application forms, while keeping your saved answers and approved application details unchanged.
Fresher jobs in your queue
We've resumed our regular checks of job postings. Postings that are still open are reviewed again so they can reach your queue, and closed ones are taken out sooner, before an application is prepared for them. Application preparation also adds capacity automatically when many members are applying at once.
Behind the scenes: broader official reference information
Our reference information now includes more official pay, skill, employer and sponsorship records, with sources and dates attached. Your answers and employers' stated job details are unchanged.
Behind the scenes: steadier background processing
We've reduced unnecessary background work so job checks can keep running while new job sources are added. Safeguards continue to respect job sources' limits.
A tidier look for practice, language and queue screens
Interview practice, your language choice and the notes on your job queue now match the rest of Applystead, with fewer duplicate buttons, compact language flags and larger tap targets on phones. Nothing changed about how your applications are prepared or sent.
Salaries
Clearer sources on salary pages
The salary-data guide now makes clear that separately labelled third-party figures appear only when available. Salary comparisons and rankings continue to use employers' posted pay ranges.
More job locations for matching
More jobs now include a location when it is clearly stated in their posting link. These locations are available to job search and location matching, while existing stated locations are kept.
Behind the scenes: safeguards for job checks
We've strengthened the safeguards around background job checks, with controlled processing limits and cleaner pauses.
Queue
Your queue totals stay on the list
Your application counts now stay on the queue's List view instead of appearing above each application or in Cards view. Returning to the list brings the totals back.
Queue
One approval step and clearer application details
Clicking Apply, or turning on Auto apply, is your application approval: no separate consent checklist or jobs waiting for another OK. Auto handles jobs within your settings and suggests widening a setting when more jobs are just outside it. Your details now shows the information used for an application in clear, readable sections.
Answers
Reuse the legal-name answer you already gave
When you've already supplied your full legal name, matching employer first-name, last-name and full-name questions can now reuse that answer instead of asking again. Names that can't be split confidently still need your answer.
Profile
Clearer language choices and upload controls
Language names and plan prices now stay readable when your device is set to reduce motion. Upload buttons and free-tool form messages stay in English even when your browser uses another language. Your regional English choice stays saved in My profile.
Interviews
Practice interviews with the job description you reviewed
Starting practice from an application now includes the job description you reviewed, rather than leaving it blank. You can check or change it before starting, so your practice is based on that role. We've also improved behind-the-scenes monitoring of interview practice.
More capacity for busy periods
We've increased the capacity available to application processing when demand rises.
Answers
Clearer questions in your Answer library
Questions about holding a security clearance and being eligible to get one are now kept separate. More employer questions retain their original choices, rather than being folded into a text answer. Grouped experience questions are checked for vague references to a job description.
Trying a simpler way to start your profile
Some new members now begin setup by choosing how to add their experience: upload a resume, paste text, or enter the details themselves. Others see the usual page. We'll keep whichever way helps more people finish setting up.
Answers
Fix AI's answers any time, and one notice for new ones
Answers AI writes for you stay marked Written by AI after you keep them, so you can find and change one any time; the change applies to the applications prepared from then on. Remove an AI answer and AI won't answer that question again. When AI writes new answers, the bell shows one notice, with any questions still waiting for you.
Profile
Applystead in your English, whatever your browser's language
Applystead now shows dates, times, numbers, form field messages and file pickers in English even when your browser is set to another language, with dates and numbers in the style of your English. Pick the flag for the English you read (US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, Ireland or New Zealand) when you review your profile, or anytime in My profile.
Companies
Company pages list each job once, and profiles show all your applications
Company pages and company profiles now list each job once; before, the same job could show up more than once. A company's profile also shows every one of your applications there, however long your history. Company pages stay up to date on their regular schedule.
