How it works

- Start from a complete resume. The tailor can only use facts your resume states, so include your real results, tools and scope before you tailor.

Will it add experience or skills I don't have?
No. Tailoring reorders, emphasizes and rephrases what your resume already says. Titles, employers and dates stay as you wrote them, and a separate check compares every rewritten bullet with your original resume; a change it cannot support is undone. It is still AI-written text, so read every line before you send it.
What happens to my resume and the job description?
Your resume stays in this browser tab while you work. When you tailor, your resume and the job are sent to Applystead to write the draft. Applystead does not save them from this page; it keeps only a count of free tailored resumes per network, stored as a one-way hash of the IP address.
Can I paste a job link instead of the description?
Yes. Paste a secure https link to a public job posting and the tailor reads the posting. Some sites, including LinkedIn, block automated readers; for those, open the posting, copy the job description and paste it instead.
How do I download or save my tailored resume?
Choose Save as PDF (your browser's print dialog) or download plain text for application forms. To keep it in Applystead, choose Save and create a free account or sign in: your resume and the tailored version come with you, and you choose what to keep.
