Is Applystead legit?
Yes. Applystead (applystead.com) is a job-search workspace that went live in September 2026. It tailors your resume to a job with free AI and, on a paid plan, prepares and submits job applications only with your approval. Its prices are published (Free $0, Standard $200 a month, Premium $500 a month), payments run through Stripe, refunds and the Premium guarantee have written terms, and support answers at support@mail.applystead.com. The domain is new, which is why some automated website scanners label it that way. Every fact below links to the page that states it, so you can check it yourself.
Who runs Applystead and how to contact us
Applystead is the product at applystead.com, and its guides and comparisons are written by the Applystead editorial team. The site does not yet publish a registered company name or postal address. The published way to reach the people who run it is email: support@mail.applystead.com. Write from the address on your Applystead account when your question is about your account, so we can find it. The contact page lists what to email us about, and the support page covers the tasks you can do yourself, such as canceling. If you are a recruiter or hiring manager asking about information Applystead holds about you, use the request form.
What it costs
- Free: $0, no subscription and no credit card. Up to 10 applications a day prepared for you, which you review and send; AI tailoring to a job description, 10 a day; one master resume and three tailored versions; unlimited PDF exports without a watermark.
- Standard: $200 USD a month until canceled. Up to 200 applications a day; you review the exact resume and answers and choose Apply for each job. No automatic submissions.
- Premium: $500 USD a month. Fully automatic applying, once you give explicit approval, to jobs that meet the match threshold you set. Accounts that have never had Premium and are not on a paid plan can try it free for 7 days; a card is required, and if you cancel before the trial ends you are not charged.
The recurring price and payment terms you accept are shown before checkout and remain available in your account afterward. See current pricing for every plan and term.
Refunds, cancellation and the 90-day guarantee
- Cancel any time before renewal to avoid the next charge: My profile, then Manage subscription & billing, then Cancel subscription. Canceling a paid membership does not take away your free documents.
- Premium free trial: cancel before it ends and you won't be charged. One trial per person and per card.
- Premium 90-day job guarantee: for Premium subscriptions only; Standard is not covered. It is a conditional refund commitment, not a promise that an employer will hire you. The 90-day period starts on your first paid day of Premium. If you have no job offer by its end, attended every interview in the period and made at least 10,000 successful applications in it, Applystead refunds the Premium payments charged during the period (three months at the term's monthly rate for a prepaid 6- or 12-month term), after verifying eligibility. Refunds are not automatic: you request a manual review by email.
The refund policy gathers every refund, trial and cancellation term in one place.
Who processes payments
Stripe hosts checkout and billing management, and cancellation happens on Stripe's secure billing page. Applystead never receives card numbers or security codes. To keep the free trial to one per card, it keeps only a one-way hash of the card fingerprint Stripe reports, never the card number.
How your data is handled
- Your profile, documents, approved answers and application records are scoped to your account. You can export or delete your data from My profile, or email support from the address on the account and we delete it for you.
- When you upload a resume, Applystead's private AI service reads it to draft your profile. Original uploads are not kept as files, and a draft started before you have an account is deleted after 7 days if you don't create one.
- Signing in with Google or Facebook gives Applystead your name, email address and an account identifier, nothing else, and Applystead never posts on your behalf.
- Analytics are first-party and never include your email, resume, answers or payment amounts. Global Privacy Control keeps them off, and in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they run only after you choose to allow them.
- Elsewhere, when analytics are on and neither Global Privacy Control nor Do Not Track is set, sign-ups, profile completion and payments are reported to Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn with a SHA-256 hash of your account email, never your resume, answers or job search.
Privacy & terms lists everything Applystead stores and the controls you have.
What Applystead does and doesn't do
- You stay in control. Paying for a plan does not start applications. Standard sends an application only when you choose Apply for that job; Premium applies automatically only after your explicit approval, and you can pause it.
- Employers' own systems. As of October 2026, Applystead submits applications on employers' career sites on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Rippling, Jobvite and JazzHR.
- Not Workday, iCIMS, Oracle Taleo or job boards. Applystead does not submit applications on Workday, iCIMS or Oracle Taleo, and it does not apply through job boards such as LinkedIn or Indeed. For those jobs, tailor your resume free and apply on the employer's site yourself. See how auto-apply works.
- No invented facts. Tailoring works from the facts in your resume, and missing facts are never invented. Keyword coverage is not an ATS pass score or a hiring prediction.
- No job guarantee. No plan promises a job offer; the Premium guarantee is the conditional refund described above.
- No recalls. Deleting your account cannot retract applications employers have already received.
When it launched, and why scanners call the domain new
The applystead.com domain was registered on September 9, 2026, and Applystead's launch video went up at the end of that month, so the site is only weeks old. Automated website-reputation scanners treat recently registered domains with caution and score domain age on its own, and the domain's public registration record names the registrar but no registrant organization, so a scanner can call applystead.com "new" whatever the site does. A score like that measures the domain's age, not the product. The terms on this page are the ones you can hold Applystead to.
