The 48 updates to Applystead that went live for every member on .
Interviews
Practice your interviews with an AI interviewer
Premium members have a new Interview practice tab. An AI interviewer follows up on your answers as it takes you through concepts, a hands-on challenge and design, then scores you out of 100 with strengths and what to improve. Practice for a round on your Interviews page or a job you applied to, add your own questions, and score your recorded interview calls the same way.
Feedback
Saying yes to a credit now confirms right away
When we thank you for your feedback and ask whether to credit you on What's new, your answer is now confirmed right where you clicked, with a Done button to close. You can still change your answer anytime from What's new.
Sign-in and sign-up pages are ready sooner
The sign-in and sign-up pages now load a much smaller page first, about half the download on a first visit, so the form is ready sooner. Everything after you sign in works as before.
Queue
Auto apply keeps jobs you already approved, and a tidier phone queue
Turning on Auto apply no longer drops jobs you had already approved: they keep your approval and still show as Applied. After Auto apply sends jobs, the Applications count and New labels include only the jobs it just sent. On phones, your totals fit in one compact block so your first job sits higher. Returning to an open Queue tab shows your latest queue right away.
Answers
AI answers read as your own words
When you let AI answer employers' questions for you, it now writes only the answer, in your voice, instead of commenting on what it knows about you. An answer that still comments like that isn't used: we ask you that question instead.
Workspace
A new link preview when you share Applystead
When you share applystead.com on X or anywhere else that shows link previews, new previews show a fresh card with the homepage's headline: AI job applications and free résumé tailoring.
Salaries
Free salary pages from real job postings
See what employers pay before you apply. New free salary pages show posted pay by role, company, city and level, the top-paying companies and roles, side-by-side company comparisons, internship pay and the newest pay ranges, all taken from pay ranges employers published in open job postings. No account needed.
API
The Applystead API: search jobs and add applications from your own code
Create API keys on the new API page, under More, to search jobs and read company details from your own code; reading your own applications is free. Other calls are paid from credit you add to your balance, and Premium members pay 40% less. On Standard and Premium you can also add jobs to your queue through the API; an application that is never sent is refunded automatically.
Answers
Premium Auto apply can let AI answer employers' questions for you
On Premium, a new Queue options setting lets AI answer questions your Auto apply applications wait on, so Auto doesn't wait. AI can be wrong or make things up, so it's off until you turn it on. Its answers are marked Written by AI in your Answer library to keep, edit or remove. Questions on your gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status stay yours to answer.
Answers
Your years with each skill, asked together
When employers ask about many different skills, your Answer library now asks your years with all of them in a few questions instead of one question per skill.
Free tools and guides on company and job pages
Company, role and job pages now suggest free tools and guides for that application: a cover letter tool first when the employer's form asks for a cover letter, a pay-related tool when salary is listed or asked about, and a guide to the employer's application system, such as Workday, when one is available.
A next step after each free tool
After a free tool gives you a result, it now suggests what to do next with a free account, such as tailoring your whole resume to a job in the Resume studio, bringing along the resume you pasted, or saving a job search with a pay target. No card needed.
More help on hearing back, raises and recruiters
Three guides now answer more: how long hearing back takes at each stage of hiring and after a phone interview, email samples for asking for a raise, and email and LinkedIn templates for recruiters and hiring managers. Each links the free tools that help.
Company pages say more precisely what applications ask
Company pages now say when none of the forms we checked asked for something, but only after we checked at least 3 forms in full. With fewer or partly checked forms, they list only what we saw, such as "at least 2 of 5 forms we checked".
Behind the scenes: search engines see our pages by type
Our sitemap now lists tools, guides, comparisons and other pages separately, so we can see how many of each search engines have indexed, and we count which free tool a new member started from when they allow analytics. Nothing changes in how you use Applystead.
A clearer queue and consistent application totals
Your queue now separates jobs ready to review from those eligible for Auto apply. Your total keeps jobs you approved even if they later need another answer, close, or are cancelled. Saved answers can also help prepare more of your waiting applications.
Behind the scenes: fewer repeated connection checks
We've updated how application processing reuses connections, reducing repeated background checks while keeping your reviewed information and approval unchanged.
Applications
A simpler, tidier Applied list
Each job in your Applied list now shows just a check mark, "Applied" and the day you applied, on one line that lines up neatly on phones, tablets and computers. Open an application to see its full details, including when you applied.
The sign-up page opens faster
The sign-up page now finishes loading sooner on phones and computers, so you can start creating your account without waiting.
Standard members can try Premium free for 2 weeks
If you're on Standard, you can now try Premium free for 2 weeks, right from your Membership page. Premium adds automatic applying, no daily application cap and, for jobs at US employers, help before and after each interview.
Companies
Company profiles, one tap from any company name
Tap a company name in your queue, Applications, Free list or interviews to open its profile: its open roles by job title and place, and key facts about it. On a computer, hover over a name for a quick card. On Premium you also see who leads the company and, where we have it, its org chart.
Profile
Answer common questions for your roles at setup
When you set up a paid plan from your resume, we now ask the few questions employers hiring for your likely roles usually ask, filled in from your resume where it says so. Answer what you like and skip the rest; your answers are saved to your Answer library and used when employers ask.
Try free resume tools with an example
No resume ready? Try fictional examples in the resume tailor, keyword checker and cover letter generator. The free tools page now groups these three steps, so it is easier to check a job, tailor your resume and write your letter. Loading an example uses none of your daily AI allowance.
Answers
Fewer questions to answer
Your Answer library now asks far fewer questions. Questions employers word differently but mean the same share one answer, and one answer about your years with each skill also settles questions like “Do you have 5+ years of Python?”. Answers still come only from what you have told us.
Company pages list each role once
Company pages no longer list a role twice when job titles differ only by a gender marker such as (m/w/d) or (h/f): those roles now share one page. Roles named only by a language code, such as ES, now lead to the company's page. For companies we still list, old links to these pages open the matching role or the company's page.
Membership
Premium is now $500 a month, and you can try it free
Premium now costs $500 a month for everyone, including members who joined during the launch offer, with no price increase ahead. New to Premium? Try it free first. The 6-month Premium plan is now $425 a month ($2,550).
Five new side-by-side comparisons
See how Applystead compares with Jobright, LoopCV, Resume Worded, Enhancv and Final Round AI, using facts from their own public pages, and when each option is the better choice.
Behind the scenes: ready for many more members at once
Applystead now adds servers automatically when many people visit at once, keeps sign-up and sign-in emails flowing on busy days, stops automated sign-up abuse sooner, and reads uploaded resumes faster when many arrive together.
Membership
Invite rewards now arrive when your friend confirms their email
When a friend joins with your invite link and confirms their email, you both get a free week right away: your friend gets a week of Standard, and you can add 7 days to your membership. You no longer wait for their first application. You can earn up to 3 free weeks a day and 12 a year.
New: the Applystead job market report 2026
We counted 7,077,787 open job listings across 9 applicant tracking systems: which platforms host them, how many are marked remote, and which US role families are hiring. Read the key findings and download the data as CSV or JSON on our blog.
Behind the scenes: more employers checked, steadier sending, search insight
We now check more Australian employers for openings and send applications more dependably. We also count visits from search engines and AI assistants and the page they land on, without cookies or identifying anyone, and check how our pages, including company and job pages, appear in Google search, keeping that check's progress through site updates. This shows us what people look for.
Workspace
Easier tapping on phones
Resume studio buttons, the More menu, job alert options and the interviews view switch now have larger touch areas.
Queue
Thumbs down now helps fix your job list
Tap thumbs down on your job list and tell us what's off: job titles, locations, seniority, pay, companies or specific jobs. We open the matching setting for you, hide the companies you pick from this and future lists, or pass the jobs you choose. Thumbs up tells the Applystead team your list suits you and leaves your jobs as they are.
Queue
See why jobs wait for your OK, and apply to them all at once
When Auto holds jobs for your OK, your queue and notifications now say why, for example when a posting doesn't confirm visa sponsorship or is outside your locations. A new Apply to all button lets you review the list, untick any, and send the rest with their prepared resumes and answers. Jobs that break your pay, remote or location choices still wait for you one by one.
Membership
See how many jobs match your search in your country
On the Free plan, your job list and upgrade prompts now show how many open jobs match your search in your country right now, on the job sites Applystead applies through. If only a few match, we say so plainly, so you can decide before you upgrade.
Queue
Your queue shows only jobs we can send right now
Jobs we can't send at the moment no longer appear in your queue or in its counts, so everything you approve can go out. If sending opens again for those jobs, they come back to your queue as they were, and your queue keeps filling with jobs we can send.
Resumes
Tailor right after setup, or build your resume from your profile
Resume studio now tailors the resume it shows you straight after setup, with no extra save. If your saved resume can't be tailored yet, the studio says why instead of showing tailored resumes left, and offers Build my resume from my profile. It fills your editor for you to review, and nothing replaces your saved resume until you Save.
Thanks to Phil B. for their feedback.
Profile
See when your profile draft is ready
When Applystead has drafted your profile from your resume, your workspace now shows a banner that takes you straight to reviewing it, so you can finish setup and start getting matched.
Resumes
Resumes stay on one page unless your experience needs two
Resumes Applystead prepares for your applications now fit on one page, whatever the number of roles. A second page is used only when your experience can't fit one page at a readable size, and every role is always kept. Resume studio and resume edits follow the same rule.
Thanks to Ryan K. for their feedback.
Resumes
Send the resume you signed up with, and clearer resume labels
Help now has a “Send your own resume file” topic that opens your resume choice on My own PDF. If you uploaded a PDF when you signed up, you can pick it there and it is sent exactly as it is, with no need to upload it again. Each application now says “tailored for this job” only when its wording was changed for that job; otherwise it says it is your resume from your Profile.
Thanks to Ryan K. for their feedback.
Resumes
Tailored resumes open with a summary written for the job
When Applystead tailors your resume for a job, the summary at the top is now usually written for that job, built only from what your profile already says, such as your job titles, skills, experience and certifications. It never mentions your employers, schools or dates.
Membership
Compare monthly and 12-month prices before you sign in
The plan cards on our pricing page and homepage now show Standard and Premium’s 12-month price under the monthly one, even before you sign in, so you can compare both ways to pay up front. With 12 months, one payment covers the whole term and there is no monthly charge.
Queue
Watch Auto apply move jobs from your queue to Applications
With Auto apply on, a job it applies to now shows Applied where it sat in your queue, then moves to Applications while the rest of your queue moves up. The Applications link counts the jobs that just arrived, and they're marked New when you open it.
Resumes
Auto apply tailors your resume for each job unless you choose your own
On a paid plan, Auto apply now sends a resume tailored for each job by default. A PDF you saved on Free for applying by hand is no longer sent automatically; you can still choose to send your own PDF instead.
Company pages now show open jobs
Company pages now list up to 10 of that company's newest openings, each linking to its full job description, and role pages show the matching openings first. The companies directory shows 50 companies a page, and card titles on company, job and guide pages are easier to tap on phones.
The home page loads faster
The home page now finishes loading sooner, most noticeably on a first visit from a phone.
Latest jobs, one click from the bottom of the page
Our guides, free tools, company pages and home page now link to Latest jobs at the bottom, next to Companies hiring. It lists new openings, each with the employer's full job description, so you can read a job in full before you apply.
Clearer answers in our job search guides
Ten guide pages, including how long it takes to hear back after applying or a phone interview and how to message a recruiter, now get to the answer sooner and cover more of the questions job seekers ask. Two guides also suggest better-matched free tools.
