APPLY TO JOBS FOR ME

Pay someone to apply to jobs for you? Compare the options

Four kinds of help will send job applications in your name: reverse recruiters, application services sold in packs, freelancers you hire, and software. Here is what each one does and what it costs, from each provider’s own page, checked October 6, 2026.

Applystead publishes this page and sells the software option. Nothing is sent without your go-ahead.

WHAT “APPLY FOR ME” MEANS

What apply-for-me
services do.

Every option below sends applications in your name, so you stay responsible for what they say. They differ in who does the work, how much of your search they touch and what they cost.

Reverse recruiters

A recruiter you hire, rather than one an employer pays, who finds roles, rewrites your resume and profile, submits applications and contacts hiring teams for you, usually for a monthly fee.

Application services sold in packs

A company whose human assistants submit a set number of applications within a time limit, for a one-time price, and send you proof of each one.

Freelancers you hire

A virtual assistant you find on a freelance marketplace, who follows your instructions at the rate they set. You supply the targeting, the answers and the supervision.

Software

A tool that matches jobs to your profile and prepares or submits applications, either after you approve each one or automatically within rules you set.

PRICES CHECKED OCTOBER 6, 2026

Human services or software,
with prices.

Each price comes from the provider’s own public page on October 6, 2026. They are examples, not a ranking, and prices change, so open the page before you buy. Find My Profession and Scale.jobs compete with Applystead. Our guide to what it costs to pay someone to apply for jobs works through the cost per application.

Reverse recruiters and done-for-you services

Find My Profession: $1,500 a month plus 8% of first-year salary once you accept a job, or $3,000 a month with no success fee. Its team writes your resume, LinkedIn profile and cover letter, finds roles, submits applications you approve and networks for you. Scale.jobs: one-time packs of 250 applications in 30 days for $199, 500 in 60 days for $299, or 1,000 in 90 days for $399, submitted by human assistants who send a screenshot of each one. Source: Scale.jobs pricing, checked October 6, 2026.

Freelancers on marketplaces

Freelance marketplaces publish no fixed price for applying to jobs: each freelancer sets a rate, and the marketplace adds its own fee. On its free Basic plan, Upwork adds a Client Marketplace Fee of up to 7.99% to what you pay a freelancer, or 3% for a qualifying U.S. client paying by bank account. Software: Applystead’s plans

Free costs $0 and prepares up to 10 applications a day that you review and send yourself. Standard is $200 USD a month and lets you review up to 200 applications a day and send each with one click. Premium is $500 USD a month and applies automatically, with no daily cap, to jobs that meet the match threshold you set, on systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters.

BEFORE YOU PAY ANYONE

What to check
before you pay.

Whoever sends your applications, employers read them as yours. Get these answers in writing first, and start with a small batch.

Account access and passwords

Ask whether they need your passwords for email, job boards or employer portals, who can see them, what they store, and how you delete your data when you stop.

Who approves each application

Ask whether you approve every application before it is sent or set rules once, who answers screening questions, and how you pause everything. On Applystead, Standard sends nothing until you choose Apply, and Premium applies automatically only after you turn automatic applying on.

Refund terms

Read the refund policy before you pay: what you get back if you stop early, and which parts are not refundable. Scale.jobs, for example, refunds the unused share of a plan minus a $100 one-time fee, and does not refund its expert resume writing or LinkedIn makeover. Applystead’s terms are on its refund policy page.

Promises about results

Employers decide whom to interview and hire. The Federal Trade Commission advises never paying for the promise of a job, and says honest placement firms do not typically charge job candidates a fee. Source: FTC: Job scams, checked October 6, 2026.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Apply for me, answered.

Plain answers before you pay anyone to apply for you.

Can I pay someone to apply to jobs for me?

Yes. Reverse recruiters, application services sold in packs and freelancers will send applications in your name, and software can prepare or submit them for you. The applications are still yours, so check who submits them, where, with what approval and what proof before you pay anyone.

How much does a reverse recruiter cost?

On October 6, 2026, Find My Profession charged $1,500 a month plus 8% of first-year salary after you accept a job, or $3,000 a month with no success fee. Other services price differently, so ask for the full contract, including how the salary is defined and when any fee is due.

Is software cheaper than a human service?

Usually, per application. Applystead Standard is $200 USD a month for up to 200 prepared applications a day, and on October 6, 2026 Scale.jobs sold 250 applications submitted by human assistants for $199. People can apply through forms software does not support; software is faster but needs tight targeting.

Does Applystead apply to jobs for me?

Premium applies automatically to matching jobs on employers’ career sites, on systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters, after you turn automatic applying on. Standard prepares each application for you to review and send, and Free prepares up to 10 a day for you to send. It does not apply on Workday, iCIMS or Oracle Taleo, or through LinkedIn or Indeed.

Can anyone promise me a job if I pay?

No. Employers decide whom to interview and hire, so no service, human or software, can promise an offer. The Federal Trade Commission advises never paying for the promise of a job. A legitimate service describes the work it will do, not the result you will get.
