The 14 updates to Applystead that went live for every member on .
Otto explains Auto apply when you set up
When you choose how we apply for you, Otto now explains what Auto apply does and why it helps, so you can pick what suits you. Nothing is switched on for you: Auto apply starts only when you choose it, and you can turn it off any time.
Pick up your plan where you left off
If your trial or plan has ended, signing in now offers your last plan first and tells you how many replies from employers are waiting for you. Once your plan is active again, we take you straight back to the message you opened.
Your project details come through when you import your résumé
When you import your résumé, the bullet points under each project are now kept with that project, word for word, so the résumés we make for each job show what you built.
Interviews stay with the role they're for
When you've applied to several roles at the same company, Applystead now follows the job title in each email. A rejection for one role no longer closes or relabels the interview you have for another, and emails about a different role stay with that role.
The review card fits beside your applications
On wide screens, the "How is Applystead working for you?" card beside your Applications list now fits its column: the stars, the comment box and Save review stay inside the card, and the column scrolls on its own so you can always reach every button.
The Feedback button sits beside your notifications
The Feedback button now sits beside the notification bell at the top of your workspace, and at the top of setup, instead of floating in the bottom corner where it could cover buttons, job rows and form fields. On phones it stays in the top bar as you scroll. While a window is open, it waits in that window's corner and goes back beside the bell when you close it.
Turn the resume summary on or off in Auto apply
Auto apply's resume settings now have the "Summary on resumes made for each job" choice that Resume studio has. Under Tailored for each job, pick On or Off: Off leaves the summary out of the resumes we make for each job and hides it on your master resume, and your experience stays as it is. Saving prepares your waiting applications again without a summary.
Your queue refills with more matching jobs
Each time we look for new jobs for you, more of the close matches that fit your search are now added to your queue, including jobs at companies you have applied to before.
Clear out past Ask Otto conversations
You can now delete a past conversation with Ask Otto when you no longer need it. Open Past conversations, press the bin beside a chat, then press Delete; Keep leaves it as it was. If you delete the conversation you have open, Otto starts a fresh one.
Interview scheduling requests reach your inbox
When a recruiter asks which times work for a call or interview, the message now lands in your Applystead inbox as a reply. Application receipts that only repeat the answers you gave on the form stay with your automatic emails.
Your queue now puts the jobs you are most likely to hear back from first
Your queue now ranks jobs by how likely you are to get a reply, learns from the jobs you pass on and approve, and moves older postings further down.
Otto suggests job titles from your own work history
Otto now suggests job titles you have held to add to your search, and after you change your search, the jobs waiting in your queue are checked again against it.
Auto apply no longer waits on you for close matches
If you turned on Auto apply, close matches that are still being checked no longer sit in your queue waiting for your approval. Auto apply sends each one once it is confirmed to fit your search, and clears the ones that turn out not to fit.
Excluding a company now leaves out only that company
Excluded companies now match whole names, not letters inside other words, so excluding Apple no longer hides Applebee's jobs. The same company written as one word, with Inc or LLC, or as its careers page name still counts, and BCBS still covers its regional plans.
