Jobs show when we first found them
Jobs newly added to your queue now show the date Applystead first found them, instead of the last time we checked the listing, and newly found jobs rank a little higher in your queue.

Jobs newly added to your queue now show the date Applystead first found them, instead of the last time we checked the listing, and newly found jobs rank a little higher in your queue.
Queue
On a paid plan, your queue now shows Get more jobs: each of your own settings that narrows your search, such as remote roles only, skipping staffing agencies, industries you left out, or your minimum pay and match, with how many more jobs each change would add. Tick the changes you like to see your new total right away, then save them.
Workspace
Otto now sits on top of your queue, Dashboard, Applications and Answer library with a greeting or a short tip for that page, like when to follow up after you apply or how to keep your answers current. On the Dashboard he also suggests your next step. Want a quieter page? Press the × beside his words and he steps away from that page until tomorrow.
Queue
With Auto apply on, pressing View details and then Review in queue now opens the application Auto apply is about to send, in both Cards and List. You can read the resume, cover letter and answers it will use, then go back to your queue. Before, the button did nothing for those jobs.
Applications
Workday application forms often ask how you heard about the job, your state and your country. We now answer these for you (a job board as the source, and your state and country from your profile), so Workday applications ask you for information less often.
Answers
Applystead now asks the pay you're looking for once, in setup, and fills it in from what you give us, like your resume, when it states one, for you to check. Employers' questions about your salary expectations are answered from it, by the year, month or hour they ask, so you answer far fewer of them yourself. Change it in Jobs & locations, where you can also skip jobs that list lower pay.
Profile
If you choose a language other than English when you review your profile during setup, we now ask you to tell us about anything that reads wrong in your language. Press Send feedback right there to report it. Your language is new to Applystead, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Analytics
The heat maps in Analytics and in your search criteria now keep the busiest place in view the brightest, so you can see where jobs cluster instead of one bright blob. Smaller markets still show, places near the edge of the globe no longer look busier than they are, and drawing a large area shows its outline instead of hundreds of dots.
Applications
Opening a job on your Applications screen now shows its whole record on one large page: the role, company, place, pay and when you applied, the job description and why it matched, and beside them the resume, answers and employer confirmation sent with that application, each a tab away. Nothing hides behind extra buttons, and on a phone the same tabs fill the screen.
Answers
Your Answer library now asks first the questions whose answers let the most of your waiting applications go, so a few answers send more of them. Anything missing from your profile is listed at the top, since you answer it once and we use it on every application that asks.
Profile
In My profile and when you review your profile during setup, you now pick your language by its flag. English comes as American English or British English, and every other language you can say you work in is there too. Your language sets how dates, times and numbers read, and the language the Dashboard advice and Answer library assistant reply in. Applystead's pages stay in English.
Analytics
The maps in Analytics and in your search criteria are now crisp heat maps: busier areas glow warmer, with clean coastlines and no blur or haze on the 3D globe. Draw a circle or trace an area on either map, flat or 3D, to pick every place inside it. In your search criteria, the busiest places with jobs inside your shape are added to your locations.
Applications
When an employer's career site turns away our usual connection, your application is now sent through another route instead of waiting, so it keeps moving. And when an employer asks you to create an account with them, we can now set it up again if their first sign-up never went through.
We sped up the regular refresh of the job listings behind your queue and job lists, so newly posted jobs and updated job details reach you sooner.
Queue
Thousands of older jobs that said Location not listed now show their city and country, read from the employer's own job board, so the locations you chose match them more accurately. Region names such as North America or East Coast are no longer mistaken for a job's city.
Answers
When an employer asks you to acknowledge its equal-opportunity policy, a note on how it treats details like your age, or a long privacy notice, we now acknowledge it for you, so fewer applications wait on you. We also decline more text-message sign-ups and offers to contact you about similar jobs.
Answers
If you have many applications waiting for answers, the ones further down the list now move on by themselves when what they ask is already covered by what you've told us, such as your city, or by declining a self-identification question. We check them whenever you add an answer and every few hours. Anything we can't answer from what you've told us still waits for you.
Applications
We improved how applications are filled in and sent across the employer career sites we support, so more of them are completed without another try. Questions about visa sponsorship are now answered from the work authorization details you've already given us, and longer written answers are kept within each form's length limit.
The home page no longer works out its whole layout before it first appears, so it gets on screen a little sooner. Nothing on the page itself changed.
Answers
When an employer's form asks about your gender, race, sexual orientation, veteran or disability status in a less common wording, and offers a way to decline, we now choose that option for you, as we already do for the usual wording. Fewer of these questions wait in your Answer library. To share an answer instead, change it on an application.
Queue
Queue options no longer sit at the very end of your queue page. Tap the gear at the end of the row of controls at the top of your queue and they open in a window that fits your phone or computer screen. It holds your resume choice and, if you use Auto apply, its settings, with a link to Membership & billing. Close it and you're back where you were.
Queue
With Auto apply on, your Job queue now lists the jobs Auto will send next as soon as you open it, instead of a few seconds later. As Auto applies, each job shows Applied, lifts off and flies to Applications before the jobs behind it move up, so nothing slides underneath it.
Answers
When an employer asks whether you object to being kept in its candidate pool, we now answer that you do. A consent that can cover this recruitment only or future ones too is given for this recruitment only, and a privacy policy offered in more than one language is accepted in English. Questions about you still come to you.
Profile
Your language choice, in My profile and when you review your profile during setup, now has two options: American English and British English, each named beside its flag. It sets how dates, times and numbers read and the English that advice is written in. If you had picked another regional English, we suggest the one that fits your country until you choose.
Queue
If you haven't finished setting up your account yet, your Job queue now says so and gives you a Finish setup button, instead of saying the queue is unavailable. Your queue starts as soon as setup is done.
Answers
When a remote job doesn't name a country, employer questions about whether you can work in the job's country, or will need sponsorship, are now answered from the work eligibility you gave us for the country you apply in. More of employers' own wordings are recognized too. Questions that point to another country, office, company or visa still come to you.
When you are close to running out of ready applications, we now prepare your next ones first, so your queue fills back up sooner instead of waiting its turn behind members who still have plenty. Preparing applications also no longer stalls on slow steps, which keeps everyone's queue moving.
On a phone, your queue now shows the job with its Apply and Pass buttons, says how to swipe, and can put an Apply button on each ready job. In Cards, the next job appears as soon as you swipe. Notices no longer cover your buttons, the welcome tour fits your screen, and interview cards show each stage and your next step.
When many people set up at the same time, Applystead now reads several resumes at once, so your profile draft is ready sooner. Starting Free from a phone shows Start free right away, and Free's Resume studio offers Take a photo first.
On My profile, choose Fill from my resume to read your saved resume, a file or pasted text. We list the roles and education it finds; anything already in your profile is marked and left alone. Tick what you want, press Add selected, check the entries, then Save profile. Nothing changes until you save.
Resume studio's Layouts now has a Summary on tailored resumes switch. Turn it off and the resumes we make for each job leave the summary out, and your master resume in Resume studio hides it too. Your profile stays as it is, and you can turn it back on at any time.
Answers
Checkboxes asking you to accept an employer's privacy policy or terms are now ticked for you. Requests to keep you in a candidate pool, consider you for other roles or share your resume with partner companies are declined for you, and scheduling choices use email rather than texts. A general note you saved earlier no longer keeps these questions waiting. Questions about you still come to you.
Answers
More employer questions about whether you can work in the job's country, for any employer or without sponsorship are now answered from the work eligibility you gave us. Questions about where you live, your street address and whether you're 18 or older now wait on the one setup question that covers them, instead of showing up again in your Answer library.
If you haven't finished setup on a paid plan, Save profile now saves your changes. My profile also shows a Finish setup link. On Setup's last step you approve the Applystead address you apply from. It's a button, and no email is sent. Your queue starts after that.
Postings that spell out their requirements at length are now checked all the way through instead of being set aside, and more postings are checked at once. More of the openings that fit your preferences can reach your Queue and job lists sooner.
Applystead no longer answers employer questions that would say something about you, such as where you live, an accommodation you might need, how a background check would go, which technologies you'd learn, or whether you've worked somewhere before. Those now come to you, so employers always get your own answer.
If preparing one of your applications stalls, it now restarts on its own within minutes, wherever it sits in your list, instead of holding a spot in your queue until later. More of your jobs reach ready sooner.
Questions that check you're a real person, ask whether an employer may text you, or invite you to join a talent community, newsletter or event list are now answered for you: you're a person, and we say no to texts and marketing for you. Fewer applications wait on you, and questions about you still come to you.
When a search leaves fewer than ten jobs in your queue, Applystead now suggests related job titles with openings in your locations above your queue. Tap one to add it to your search, and your queue fills from the wider search.
My profile now points out roles whose dates would print unevenly on your resume, such as a year next to a month, or a start date with no end. In Resume studio, Layouts adds Dates: years only to print every date as a year without changing your profile. Ask the studio chat about dates and it tells you which roles to update.
The Applied this week and Applied total figures on your queue, and the applied count on your Dashboard, now count exactly the applications listed as Applied on your Applications page. Applications that came back for your answers, were cancelled or are no longer eligible are no longer counted as applied.
Chose "Not now" when we offered your own domain? You can set it up anytime from Membership: look for Custom domain. If your domain is already live or being set up, Membership shows where it stands.
In Queue options, turn on "Auto applies only in places I choose" and tick the countries, regions or cities from your search where Auto apply should apply by itself. Jobs in your other places are still prepared and wait in your queue for you to Apply or Pass.
Editing or rewriting part of a resume for one application no longer moves a project's or role's bullets under the entry before it. Clearing a section or a bullet now removes it cleanly, and the rest of your resume keeps its layout through later rewrites.
In My profile, the "I currently work here" checkbox under each job is now a full-size tap target on phones, so marking the role you're in takes one tap.
A slowdown had stopped many job postings from the last few weeks from being checked against your preferences. It's fixed, and they are being checked again, so more of the recent openings that fit you can reach your Queue and job lists.
When an employer site stops taking applications sent on the Free plan, a Free application that already went out to that employer is never sent a second time, and it keeps showing as Applied.
