PRODUCT UPDATES

What’s new on October 18, 2026

The 9 updates to Applystead that went live for every member on .

Setup follows the work you ask for

The roles and places you type under "The work I want" during setup now set your job search, even when your résumé lists other titles. Essential members who start their plan before setup now choose Auto or Manual right on the review screen, and new matches show up in your Queue faster in your first minutes.

Cost of living on Analytics now counts what renting costs

In US metro areas, cost of living now includes what renting a home there costs today, so pricier cities such as San Francisco and Boston read higher and pay after cost of living compares more fairly. Pay is compared only in each area's own currency, and the Analytics map shows the difference more clearly when you switch to Salary ÷ cost of living.

Your details now live in Resume studio and Your answers

My profile is now Account, for your membership, sign-in, emails and data. Your experience, and uploading a newer résumé, are in Resume studio, just above your résumé. Contact details, work authorization and the answers employers' forms ask for are in Applications, under Your answers, where you can still change the ones you gave during setup.

Your own email domain connects as set up

When you connect an email domain you already own, the setup check now reads its signing record exactly as your DNS provider publishes it, so a domain set up as shown connects on its own. Replies you send by email are also recognized as yours when your email provider uses a longer signing key.

A free trial or plan is now needed to use Applystead

Signing in without a free trial or plan now opens your membership page, where you can start a trial or choose a plan. Your profile and past applications are kept, and applications you approved wait until your plan starts. If a renewal payment fails, cancelling ends the subscription at once so that payment is never charged. You cancel on applystead.com.

Behind the scenes: a closer watch on application processing

Our team now sees at a glance how applications move through each kind of employer application form, so we can spot and fix anything that slows them down sooner.

Your queue and applications load as you scroll

The Queue and Applications lists no longer stop at a Load more button. More jobs and applications appear on their own before you reach the end of the list, so you can keep scrolling without waiting.

Start your free trial with just your résumé

Coming from one of our ads? One screen now does it: upload your résumé, or type or say the jobs you want and your experience, then tap Start my free 14 days. We create your account from your résumé, take you straight to adding your card, and fill in your profile meanwhile, ready for you to check.

Behind the scenes: fuller job queues

Your queue now stays stocked with more roles that fit what you're looking for, so there's always something ready to apply to.
