- Implement robust monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics to maintain service health, identify performance issues, and support effective troubleshooting.
- Analyze product and operational data to identify conversion gaps, reliability concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, Legal, Infrastructure, Security, Privacy, and other engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs and regional requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering planning to promote high-quality development practices and sound technical decisions.
- Contribute to operational readiness and participate in on-call rotations, helping diagnose incidents and improve system resilience.
- Support the evolution of a flexible platform capable of accommodating new markets, changing regulations, and future product offerings.
Requirements:

- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
- Experience designing, building, deploying, and operating backend services and APIs in production environments.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling fundamentals.
- A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including writing testable code, participating in code reviews, designing maintainable systems, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and translate business, product, and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- An analytical and proactive mindset, with the ability to use data to guide decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver reliable results in a changing environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building and maintaining distributed systems and service-oriented architectures in production.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, event instrumentation, and data-driven product optimization.
- Experience in insurance, payments, fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to multi-region systems, configurable platforms, or rules-based business logic.
- Experience working with infrastructure, security, and privacy teams to deliver reliable systems that meet data protection requirements.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and work collaboratively across engineering and business teams.
