Job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Developer | German & French (C1+) based in United States.
Join a fully remote engineering team developing innovative software solutions for manufacturing companies. As a Senior Full Stack Software Developer, you will build and maintain custom applications that digitize industrial processes and improve efficiency on the factory floor. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from understanding customer requirements and designing robust architectures to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization. Using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, and Node.js, you will create intuitive interfaces and scalable systems that integrate with industrial equipment and enterprise platforms. Working directly with customers and technical stakeholders, you will translate complex operational challenges into practical, reliable software solutions. This role offers significant technical ownership, direct collaboration with leadership, and the opportunity to influence both product development and engineering practices in a growing, self-funded software business.

Accountabilities:
You will take end-to-end responsibility for developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions that support complex manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, enhancing, and operating custom software applications for clients in the manufacturing industry, following a “you build it, you run it” approach.
- Implementing complex business logic using modern technologies, software architectures, and engineering best practices.
- Designing and building intuitive web interfaces that simplify complex manufacturing workflows.
- Developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-based and on-premises applications.
- Monitoring application performance, managing logging, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure reliability.
- Building and integrating APIs and interfaces with ERP systems, manufacturing software, machine controls, sensors, and other operational technology infrastructure.
- Analyzing technical requirements with customers and project managers and translating them into robust software solutions.
- Collaborating directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to implementation and production deployment.
- Improving the existing platform, development workflows, and technical standards through continuous innovation.
- Contributing to architectural decisions and helping shape the product and technology roadmap.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in solving real-world industrial challenges. The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least five years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express.js, and modern web technologies.
- Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high standards of software quality.
- Professional fluency in both German and French, with a minimum C1 level in each language.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Experience with cloud architectures, APIs, and modern software development practices.
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT, machine communication, or industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership of technical solutions, and reliably deliver projects from start to finish.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to complex technical challenges.
- The ability to explain technical decisions clearly, contribute original ideas, and remain receptive to constructive feedback.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high standard of quality in dynamic project environments.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working closely with customers, colleagues, and the founding team.
Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary: €70,000–€100,000 gross, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Permanent employment contract offering long-term professional stability.
- Fully remote work: Work remotely with a geographically distributed engineering team.
- Flexible working hours: A results-oriented culture that prioritizes outcomes over physical presence.
- Technical ownership: Take responsibility for your solutions throughout development, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Meaningful impact: Build software used daily in factories to improve productivity, resource efficiency, and competitiveness.
- Technical variety: Work on challenging projects at the intersection of software, machinery, data, and industrial processes.
- Modern development environment: Choose your preferred development environment and IT equipment.
- Direct access to leadership: Collaborate closely with the founding team and benefit from short decision-making processes.
- Influence and autonomy: Contribute ideas and help shape the company's technical direction, product roadmap, and engineering culture.
- Professional growth: Develop your technical and personal skills within a growing software business.
- Employee referral bonus: A €1,500 reward for a successful referral that results in a hire.
- Inclusive workplace: Applications are welcomed regardless of age, gender, sexual identity, ethnic background, religion, or disability.
