Job description
About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.
About the Role
Redhorse is seeking a high-leverage AI/ML Solutions Architect to serve as the senior technical resource for major Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) and Predictive Logistics initiatives supporting both the United States Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Army.
This role sits at the critical intersection of technical architecture, cross-functional program orchestration, and mission delivery. You will move complex AI-enabled work from concept to operational delivery, ensuring that technical execution remains tightly coupled with mission outcomes. As a senior leader, you will operate with high autonomy in a collaborative environment alongside top-tier domain SMEs and mission-driven data professionals.
Your success will be measured by your ability to multiply the impact of our team-of-teams through technical influence and strategic alignment, while building enduring technical trust with our stakeholders. You are a translator, a de-risker, and a mentor who improves decision quality and increases throughput across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI/ML solutions to high-stakes challenges, directly impacting aircraft availability and military readiness across the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities
In this role you'll get to ...
- Shape Strategic Direction: Define the technical architecture and execution guidance for AI/ML initiatives across USAF and Army programs.
- Orchestrate Execution: Manage cross-team dependencies and align specialized engineering teams across a matrixed organization to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary translator between high-level mission goals and engineering reality.
- Reduce Ambiguity: Make sound tradeoff decisions in complex environments to keep projects moving from concept to operations.
- Lead & Mentor: Develop the next generation of technical leaders and improve decision quality across the team.
- Ensure Operational Impact: Connect technical output directly to mission outcomes, specifically optimizing fleet maintenance and asset availability.
Required Skills/Education
On day one we'll expect...
- An active Secret security clearance is mandatory for this position. Applicants must currently possess an active Secret clearance to be considered. Candidates without an active clearance will not be considered.
- 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, software engineering, or data architecture, with a focus on AI/ML systems.
- Expertise in Databricks: Proven ability to architect and oversee complex data and ML workflows within the Databricks environment.
- Technical Orchestration: Proven ability to lead through influence, driving consensus and technical excellence across teams.
- Strategic Decision Making: A track record of making high-stakes tradeoff decisions that balance technical excellence with mission timelines.
- Consultative Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical constraints, risks, and opportunities to both technical teams and high-level government stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Education
Highly preferred if you have...
- Advana/WDP BLADE Experience: Familiarity with the CDAO’s War Data Platform (WDP) technology stack, formerly known as Advana, and/or the BLADE environment.
- DoD Mission Context: Background in military logistics, CBM+, or Department of Defense sustainment operations.
- Advanced Degree: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related quantitative field.
