How to use it

Is it okay to negotiate a job offer by email?
Yes. Email gives you time to choose your words, lets you state the figures exactly and gives the recruiter something to share with the people who approve pay. Keep it short and polite, thank them for the offer, make one clear ask and give two or three reasons that support it.

No. It is told to use only what you typed, and every email is checked before you see it: a number, degree or name that is not in your text is refused and the email is rewritten once. If it still cannot be written from your facts, you see nothing and the attempt does not count toward your free allowance.
