Summary
This page is about Sprout, the AI job application app at usesprout.com, which was called Prep AI until August 2025. It is not Sprout Social, Sprout Solutions or Sprouts Farmers Market.
Sprout's pricing page lists three paid plans: Weekly at 19.99 for 50 applications a week, Monthly at 39.99 for 200 applications a month and Quarterly at 79.99 for 600 applications over 3 months. The page shows no currency symbol and lists no free plan. Every plan includes AI Apply, tailored resumes and cover letters, and application tracking on mobile and web.
Applystead's free account includes 10 AI-tailored resumes and up to 10 prepared applications a day. Sprout costs far less than either Applystead paid plan.
We make Applystead, so read this page with that in mind. Every Sprout fact below comes from Sprout's own public pages, checked on the date shown, and links to the page it came from.

Which Sprout is this?
Several companies use the name Sprout. This page compares Applystead with Sprout, the AI job search and application app at usesprout.com. Sprout announced in August 2025 that Prep AI had become Sprout, and it launched a web app in October 2025 next to its mobile app.
Sprout Social, a social media management company, Sprout Solutions and Sprouts Farmers Market are unrelated businesses. Reviews of them do not describe this app.
Sprout pricing and credits
Sprout's pricing page lists three plans. Weekly is 19.99 for 50 applications a week, Monthly is 39.99 for 200 applications a month, and Quarterly is 79.99 for 600 applications over 3 months, shown against 239.99 as 70% off. The page shows no currency symbol, so check the price at checkout. Sprout says every plan includes all features.
Plans are sold as credits. Sprout's AI Apply page says each completed submission uses 1 to 3 credits depending on the job and how complex its application is, so the number of applications you can send may be lower than the plan's headline figure.
Applystead's paid plans cost much more because of how they apply: Standard is $200 USD a month, or $840 for a 12-month term, and Premium is $500 USD a month. If you mainly want tailored resumes, Applystead's free account may be all you need.
Does Sprout let you review applications before they are sent?
Yes, if you turn it on. Sprout's AI Apply page says you can review, edit or approve everything before it is sent, including the tailored resume and cover letter, and that nothing is submitted without your confirmation when the Require Approval setting is on. Its pricing page describes the choice as review first, or tap to apply.
On Applystead Standard, review is always part of the flow: every application waits for you to check the exact resume and answers and click Apply. Premium applies automatically, but only after a separate, explicit approval.
