Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Technician 2, Process to join our manufacturing team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our process operations run smoothly and efficiently. You'll work with advanced equipment, analyze data, and support our engineering teams in maintaining and improving our manufacturing processes. This position requires someone who is analytical, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Operate and monitor process equipment, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to established control limits and specifications
Collect, record, and analyze process data with precision, identifying trends and anomalies that may indicate process changes or equipment issues
Perform troubleshooting activities to isolate and resolve equipment malfunctions, working collaboratively with engineering teams to implement corrective actions
Conduct routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and head changes as required to maintain optimal performance
Compile and upload process data to tracking systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC) platforms in a timely manner to meet expected turnaround times
Support the development and execution of new process initiatives, including data package compilation for process improvements and special projects
Maintain detailed documentation and records of all process activities, test results, and equipment maintenance activities
Communicate technical information effectively with colleagues, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on process status and requirements
Adhere to all safety protocols, cleanroom procedures, and manufacturing regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Support shift handover activities by clearly communicating process status, ongoing issues, and priorities to incoming team members
Demonstrate flexibility by supporting different shifts, work locations, and cross-plant initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Qualification – Education Requirement:
Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
Working experience in sputter process and knowledge of Magnetic materials used in HDD would be an added advantage.
Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook). Macro in excel would be an added advantage.
Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functional Production, Equipment, Yield, and Quality.
Skill / Experience Requirement:
Junior Level Process Technician.
Required to work in 12 hours shift pattern with day or night cycles.
Willing to work in cleanroom environment.
Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting process controls, process adjustments, data readback from machine, control limits.
Communication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.
Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Adaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
