The Opportunity The Senior Associate, Paid Search & Social owns day-to-day strategy and execution across both channels, turning data into performance for our clients. You'll manage search and social campaigns side by side, spot where each channel can lift the other, and work closely with integrated media leads (programmatic, display, etc.) and creative and data teams. We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized self-starter who can juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency setting. You'll be a trusted voice with clients, a go-to expert on your team, and a mentor to junior team members. Responsibilities Strategy and campaign management Drive paid search and paid social strategy and tactics to meet client goals, integrating both channels into a cohesive performance plan. Oversee day-to-day campaign management across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and major social platforms, and keep the team updated on activity. Lead creation of search keywords and ad copy, and partner with creative teams on channel assets and requirements. Manage priorities and ad-hoc requests so the team delivers on time and to client expectations. Analysis and optimization Analyze search query, audience and platform data to find trends and optimization opportunities, then make recommendations. Monitor account performance across channels and make timely adjustments to bids, budgets, targeting and creative. Design and run A/B tests to improve results. Build and analyze performance reports that turn data into clear insights and actions. Client and partner leadership Consult, educate and negotiate with clients and agency partners, highlighting wins and addressing obstacles and opportunities. Bring innovation to clients by sharing the latest trends, best practices, technologies and recommendations. Show sound judgment through proper escalation and strong problem-solving. Establish yourself as a cross-channel expert within your department and client team. Operations and quality Support monthly billing and reconciliation processes and protocols. Act as the quality assurance check for accounts, campaign builds and Excel workbooks. Identify ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness. Team development Train, mentor and develop junior team members, guiding their growth and ensuring high-quality work. Qualifications Relevant post-secondary education, training or equivalent experience. 2+ years of hands-on paid media experience across both paid search and paid social, including client-facing responsibilities. Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, and with a bid management platform such as SA360, Skai or Marin. Strong knowledge of the paid social landscape, platforms and best practices (Meta, TikTok, X, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn). Familiarity with AI-driven campaign types and automation, such as Performance Max, Advantage+ and scripts. Comfort with data, analytics and measurement across various data sources and methodologies; advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a passion for testing. Solid grasp of marketing and advertising principles, media concepts and creative requirements. Experience managing or mentoring junior team members and providing thought leadership. Collaborative approach with media owners, agency business units and partners. Strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to quickly learn new tools in a fast-paced agency setting. Preferred certifications Google Ads Search Certification Microsoft Advertising Certification Google Search Ads 360 Certification Google AI-Powered Shopping Ads and AI-Powered Performance Ads Certifications Meta Certified Media Buying Professional (or similar social platform certification) Plus Experience with direct-response and in-app campaigns. Prior performance media agency experience. The salary range for this position is posted below.
