Position Summary As a Principal Electrical Engineer at Ultra Maritime, you will support the development of advanced electronics for sonobuoy receivers by providing guidance to the electrical design team, creating estimates for new programs and directly contributing design input as needed. Job Description Job Description: Ultra Maritime’s Electrical Engineering team in Victor, NY supports the development and production of cutting-edge Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) technology. You will work with a team that supports the design, production, and testing of advanced ASW receiver systems, including sonobuoy receivers, RF front-end modules, and digital signal processing electronics. This includes requirements analysis, design and implementation, development testing, and support of final customer verification and validation. You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Responsibilities: Oversight of design deliverables such as design documentation and reviews. Creation and support for project documentation such as DFMEAs and reliability estimation. Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Project Engineering to ensure electronics requirements are defined and partitioned per Company standards. Create project estimates and other documentation to support proposal efforts. Development, review and approval of technical documentation such as requirements specifications and procedures. Hands on laboratory work may be required at times to support projects. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional growth and development. Hands on design and development of digital and analog circuits may be required at times. Some travel may be required, less than 10%. Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Minimum 10 years of industry experience designing complex digital and analog circuitry. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with peers and senior management. Extensive knowledge of electronic circuit design, including high speed / controlled impedance and large scale FPGA designs. Experience with electrical CAD software such as Altium, OrCAD, or Pads, and circuit analysis tools such as Spice. Experience analyzing and debugging hardware using test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers or spectrum analyzers. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens. Desired Skills: MS Electrical Engineering in signal processing, communications or related field. Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) development. Hands on RF experience. Hyperlinx or other Signal Integrity / Power Integrity analysis software. #LI-KP1 #LI-Onsite Expected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is $162,656.00 - $203,216.00. Please note this represents the expected range.
