Overview

We are hiring a Data Strategy Director to shape how data, technology and innovation drive marketing transformation for a large client across Europe and Central Eurasia.You will bring together client teams, strategists, analysts and technology specialists to solve complex marketing challenges and turn ambitious ideas into practical, measurable outcomes. You will influence regional strategy while helping local markets succeed. This is an opportunity to lead work spanning identity, AI, audience strategy, measurement and emerging technology for some of the world’s most recognised brands.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and evolve regional data and technology roadmaps, aligning teams and client stakeholders around clear strategic priorities.
  • Co-create audience strategies with Planning and Audience teams, using business data and identity solutions to enable more relevant and effective reach.
  • Guide data strategy decisions, including data partnerships, first- and second-party data, technology selection and responsible data use.
  • Establish practical data governance, quality and reporting standards that connect global frameworks with local market needs.
  • Embed evidence-based planning across integrated strategy and paid, earned, shared and owned media processes.
  • Partner with Measurement teams to develop test-and-learn roadmaps, learning agendas and credible measurement frameworks.
  • Lead transformation pilots across areas such as media, AI, production, influencer marketing and commerce, ensuring strong data foundations from the outset.

Qualifications

Skills we're looking for:

  • Experience leading senior client relationships and turning complex data or technology topics into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • A strong track record of creating strategic roadmaps and building alignment across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
  • Practical knowledge of data governance, including standards, ownership, taxonomy, quality and reporting.
  • An understanding of strategic media planning, digital channels and the role data plays in improving marketing decisions.
  • Experience collaborating with technology, data science, analytics and measurement specialists to deliver business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology, advertising technology and major digital media platforms.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the confidence to create effective ways of working when an established process does not yet exist.
